OMG!!

Have y'all been watching L'Escargot lately? Especially episodes 17 and 18? OMG scenes at the last part of episode 17 and some parts in episode 18 especially the early part!!

Last part of episode 17. Need I say more? I've never seen Ron Ng being so emotional in any of his previous portrayals of  characters. This third picture really got me! His expression is so genuine! Like he really really loves Linda Chung!

Kwan Ka Lok (Linda Chung) and Ting Kwun Fung aka Tai Ting (Ron Ng) are like a match made in heaven! This couple is so innocent! But, too innocent for Ka Lok if I were to say! And Gao Wang Jim (Michael Tse) must go in between them! You're married for godsake, don't meddle with these angels!! (Referring to Ka Lok ad Tai Ting) But, I guess, without a villain/villains in the show, there won't be any dramas!

So, in episode 18, as I expected, Tai Ting runs away after seeing them hug! Ka Lok chases after him until they reach a jetty. I really wanted to cry at this scene. Ron Ng's expression is too genuine!! Continuing, Ka Lok says that what she did is just to return the favour after what Wang Jim had done for her family so many times! But, Tai Ting couldn't accept the fact that there are so many other ways to return the favour, why must she give her body?!! I have to agree with Tai Ting on this! Ka Lok could have work at the company until she retires. And that night, she should have just kick her boss in the groin to run away from him instead of letting him to control her! So, they won't get married! Tai Ting being the stubborn one and hates people who betrays him. Relationship OFF!!

Kwan Ka On (Michael Miu) found out about his younger sister's affair from Tai Ting. Yeah, brother slaps sister, sister-in-law, Sze Long Kiu (Sonija Kwok), runs in to help Ka Lok and later explains to her husband what really happened. Kwan Sifu (What he's usually called, literally meaning Master Kwan) went to see Wang Jim and gives him back the money (HKD300,000) that their family owed him, not sparing a punch to his face. Serve that guy right! He deserves it!

After crying for the whole night, Ka Lok realizes that she still loves Tai Ting and wanting to get back together, she went to wait for him near his apartment. Tai Ting actually didn't go back to his house. He was at some pedestrian bridge, still crying over this matter! It's actually touching to see a softer side of guys that most ladies never seen before! I feel like going into the screen and hugging him! So, Tai Ting was reminiscing about him and Ka Lok, how they used to be so happy and cute together. He stands up and run to go look for her. Cheung Mei Ling aka the Kwan's siblings mum (Angelina Lo) wanted to see Ka Lok cause as a mother, who wouldn't be freaking worried when her daughter disappears? So, Ka Lok went to meet her mum. She was near her house, at the stairs, when she fell down cause she didn't eat the whole day. Wang Jim was nearby in his car (Such a stalker!!), came out and help her. And Tai Ting had to come at this time!! Why didn't he come earlier? Or at least run faster?!! There you go, he misunderstands again, heartbroken for the 2nd time!!

Jim brought Ka Lok to one of his company's house where he nurse her back to 70% healthy. Jim's wife, Lee Man Wah (Joyce Tang) suspects that her husband is having an affair outside after not returning home and the excuse he gave wasn't in line with the SMS he received from his subordinate that Man Wah read. He left his handphone on the dining table, that's how his wife read the message. So, she went to meet up with her ex-collegue to ask him whether her husband is having a mistress outside since her husband is socially close to this ex-collegue. And this ex-collegue will know any news since he has quite some powers but no news of infidelity.

Tai Ting becomes drunk and he was at the place where he usually had sandwiches for lunch with Ka Lok. So sad!! He accidently bumps into someone's girlfriend and that guy wants an apology from Tai Ting to his girlfriend. Being drunk and emo, Tai Ting questions that guy.

Tai Ting : Why must I apologize when I bump into your girlfriend? Some guy "disturbed" my

                 girlfriend. Who will say sorry to me then?!!

Another straight hit to the heart!! I really want to go hug him when he said that!! It so happen that Wang Jim's younger sister, Gao Choi Yi (JJ Jia) was in the crowd and went to help him. She carried him from the park into the cab. And I can see that Ron Ng is quite heavy!! They went to a hotel. No, not in Kowloon Tong district, some 5 star hotel which doesn't even look 5 star enough. More like 3 star. That Choi Yi tips the worker when they helped her. Wow, rich girl indeed! The president suite she got for Tai Ting is worth HKD58,000 a night!! I find this dialogue quite funny!

Hotel supervisor : So miss, what luggage can we help you to carry to your room?

Choi Yi : There, carry him (Tai Ting)!!

Haha!! Since when is Tai Ting a non-living thing? So, she got 3 staffs of the hotel to clean Tai Ting up after tipping them. After that, Tai Ting was dreaming, asking why Ka Lok did that to him. Choi Yi wanted to comfort him. Since Tai Ting was dreaming, he thought that Choi Yi was Ka Lok and quickly grab and hug her. Poor Choi Yi...

There will be a rough road ahead for this characters. Ka Lok will eventually be Jim's mistress. Tai Ting will use Choi Yi to get back at Wang Jim. And I heard in an interview where Ron says that his character will eventually fall for Choi Yi. What?!! NOOOO!!! Even though Ka Lok is not perfect, they still love each other. I wonder how the climax will be. So wanting (And feeling so strong) that Ka Lok and Tai Ting will go back together. I mean, if Choi Yi finds out that she's being used, won't she immediately break up with Tai Ting? Right? I'm having a gut feeling that after all this turn of events, Tai Ting will soften up and he will forgive and forget. He will acknowledge his father and get back together with Ka Lok. Even if they don't, they will be the best of friends. So, what do y'all predict? I will update y'all on episode 18 pictures. Bye!!

This comes from my personal experience. As you all might or might not know, I'm a huge fan of David Archuleta and have been collecting his albums since day 1! So, I was just missing his "The Other Side of Down : Asian Tour Edition" album and decided to enter a competition to win his autographed version. After a week or so, I totally forgotten about it. So, off I went for my holidays!! And who would have thought that when I came back home, that album was waiting for me to open and enjoy all the songs!!

P.S. For those who didn't realise yet, this quote actually came from one of David's song from his debut album titled "You Can".

#3 Be good to others and eventually you get nothing in return.

Nowadays, human beings can be so stingy! You compromise and help those who really need it, and what do you get in return? A present? A "Thank You" card? A handshake? A smile? NOOOOO!!! (Imagine Ryan Higa saying this)

All we would get is a "Hmph!" and a black, long face!!

#4 Smile, and the world smiles with you. Smile alone, and everyone thinks you're crazy!

Yeah, there are psychopaths in every inch of the world. So, smile when necessary. Don't get caught by everyone thinking you're crazy when actually you're mentally healthy.

I guess everyone knows that if someone does something good, it will be remembered for a short while. But, when someone does something criminally bad or not according to the norm, everyone remembers it for the rest of their lives! Let's take for an example:

Little Timmy scores an A for Mathematics. His family celebrates for a day and forgets about it in a couple of days. Little Timmy fails World History. And you could hear his mother spanking him the whole month.

Isn't that unfair?!!

#6 Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will act dumb and ask you to fish for him for his entire life.

You could see people in this era to act all dumb but in actual fact their all smart asses. Not only that, they get the praises when you do all the hard work.

#7 Hypocrisy never seize to end!

One thinks that they're all full of principles but never stop to think before they act. Just like mafia and gangsters we see in TVs who kills and go to pray after that. Practice what you preach people!!

#8 No one is perfect in all aspects.

Even Jesus Christ wasn't perfect. If He was perfect, He wouldn't fall a few times when He was a boy and He definitely wouldn't die. So parents, if your kid is slow at something, there's definitely a problem. Bring him/her to a doctor straightaway to diagnose their problems. Parents are so ignorant to see the lack of development in kids. They would only discover it when their children hits adolescence or adulthood.

Problems kids nowadays have : ADHD, ADD, dyslexia, OCD (maybe?)

#9 Not all problems have their solutions.

This applies to every single thing in every aspect, no matter in relationships, studies or whatsoever!

#10 Let's just be ourselves!

When Heaven Burns Finale

Sorry for the late update. Just watched the last episode yesterday! And I gotta admit, the ending was kinda weird.

First, the rock gig that was cancelled due to some health issues had to be on as there were many people who didn't know about the cancellation. Sung Yi Long aka Hak Chai (Moses Chan) rented the music equipments for the concert. While everyone was unpacking the stuffs on stage, Joe Lau Chun Hung aka Gu Lo (Bowie Lam) started playing on the drums. So, Hak Chai and Ronnie (Kenny Wong) join in on the guitar and bass respectively. They were join by Thomas' band. From Yip Chi Yan aka Yan's (Charmaine Sheh) perspective, they reminded her of when they were young. Dr. Dylan came to see the gig and he remembered the band even thought they didn't look the same anymore, just one band member short. Yan said they were still the same.

Lui Yiu Ban was caught by the police. Gu Lo realised his wrongdoings and stopped. Gu Lo who was driving on a road, saw a little boy running in the middle of the road and a big lorry was moving towards him. Gu Lo came out of his car and push the boy aside, unfortunately getting hit by the lorry and rolled down a few flight of stairs before knocking his head on a metal baluster. Before he died, he manage to take out a box containing a necklace he bought for his wife for their anniversary. 

Ronnie was at home cooking with his wife, Shirley (Angela Tong) when suddenly Ronnie cut a part of his skin on a finger. He said that they were talking so long till they didn't realised it was already dark even though the surrounding was still bright enough. He asked his wife to turn on the lights. That was when Shirley realised her husband was gonna be blind and hugged him. And we could see his vision gradually becomes dim till its black. 

Hak Chai must be the lucky among the three of them as he haven't receive his lesson. The apartment unit he bought, he rented it out to a group of youngsters who were just like them when they formed a band last time, 4 boys and 1 girl. Gina was informed of Gu Lo's death. At the hospital, the little boy that Gu Lo saved and his parents came to say sorry about Gu Lo's death. And what do you know? The little boy's name is none other than Ka Ming! Like he came down to earth to take revenge on his friends who eaten him.

As for Yan, she was on her way to the airport to fly to London when the taxi she boarded broke down. So she walked to get on a bus. As she was walking, she remembered the day she met up with Ka Ming. She didn't want him to go to Tianshan with their friends. She was kinda threatening him that if he go, she won't bother him. So, she turned back and walk. Ka Ming kept on calling her. The then Yan "told" the past Yan to turn around. Ka Ming finally said that he won't go there anymore. Yan really turned back to Ka Ming.

Then they showed what will happen if Yan actually turn and go back to Ka Ming. Gu Lo wouldn't have died. He would live a normal life with Gina and working as an accountant. He isn't involved with the workers support group. Cloris would be alive. Ronnie didn't go to Canada. He will live a rich life with Shirley and their two children. Hak Chai will get a decent job. He wouldn't even know who is Jessica and Emma even though he bumped into them. As for Yan, she was still with Ka Ming. Gu Lo, Hak Chai and Ronnie gathered at a building's rooftop playing the drums and guitars and bass. Yan and Ka Ming arrived last.

Then flashback to the present where Yan was at the same place the four guys were 18 years ago in 1992. Different choices end in different results. If only Yan turned back to Ka Ming.

So, what was your take on When Heaven Burns? Surprisingly, they used the same actor for Ka Ming if he were still alive. Just a few touch of white hair and stubble to make him look old even though he still look abit young. The director should have chose another actor for the older version of Ka Ming. Maybe a brief cameo of Kevin Cheng or Nick Cheung. What's your suggestion? I can't think of another better actor.

Bottled Passion Finale

Just watched the finale today. Ok, the ending is indeed a fresher ending compared to other TVB shows. Something tragic. 

Tung Pun Sin, of course found out that he was in Tung Kwok Hing's trap after saving Yuen Yau Hin. So, he went to Mr. Hui, a somewhat powerful person in Guangzhou, and told him about it. They then went to the police station and found out that the police head knew this all along and threaten him to tell Tung Kwok Hing that he found two dead bodies, one is Yuen Yau Hin and another is Tung Pun Sin. Thinking that it is true, Tung Kwok Hing with her son, KoYi Tai, brought Ko Siu Tong out of the hospital and back to their home. Waiting at their house are a group of relatives and Kai Fung company's employees and Tung Kwok Hing's newly hired lawyer with the "original will".

Luckily, Ko Siu Tong's lawyer came with the REAL DEAL will and behind him was none other than Yuen Yau Hin and Tung Pun Sin. Haha, the truth is exposed and both evil mother and son are brought to jail. Tung Kwok Hing isn't giving up that easily. She took the blame on her so that her son would be sent out of jail, retrieve his mother's valuables from an uncle and device a plan to save his mother. Who knew that an ex-employee followed him from Guangzhou all the way to Foshan. They snatch the valuables from each other and rolled off a cliff and Ko Yi Tai died on the spot because he hit his head on a rock. Ko Yi Kiew came to visit her mother (she suffered heart attack after foreseeing that her son died), and her mother told who Tung Pun Sin really was.

On the other end, Tsui Sam will be undergoing an operation to fix her left leg. Once the operation is done, the surgeon found out that her leg can't be healed as there were too many small fractured pieces of bones. So, she can't walk properly again. The scene in this picture is sweet. Those days, anesthetic wasn't that good. One may lose memory after waking up. So, Raymond Wong told her that he would tie a red string around his hand so that Tsui Sam would recognise it if she forgets him. But, everything went fine. She did not forget a thing. And, she can even joke!! 

Tung Pun Sin : Hi, don't remember me? I'm Lo Yat. 

Tsui Sam : You think I'm stupid or forgetful? You're not Lo Yat. You're Tsui Peng!! (Got me scared that she really forgotten)

Till the part where Tung Pun Sin proposed to her and she accepts, then I realised she was joking. And the whole family were discussing happily about the preparation for their marriage. Tsui On has a girlfriend. Tsui Sam will follow Tung Pun Sin back to Nanjing after they get married. Tsui Sam wanted her ring back, and not only that, she wanted a 2 karat ring along with that!! She's really a joker! So, he went to look for a ring that Tsui Sam will like. And he bumped into Yuen Yau Hin at the jewelry shop. They left empty handed, one could not find a perfect wedding ring and another could not find a perfect wedding gift. Tung Pun Sin said that the perfect ring can't be bought in any shops.

Tung Pun Sin went to his office to carve a "Tung" on Tsui Sam's ring next to her name. Who would know that Ko Yi Kiew would go there to find him. Asking him why did he do that to her and stuffs. And she tried to commit suicide, hugged Tung Pun Sin and stabbed him in the abdomen. He left, a passerby saw him and wanted to bring him to the hospital. Tung Pun Sin, being the good guy, asked the passerby  to save her. He walk quite a distance just to see Tsui Sam. And, he disappeared. Tsui Sam was waiting at her factory with Tung Pun Sin's favourite dish. Lo Yat came to tell her what happened. The funny part is, there were blood trails on the floor but they didn't even follow it to find him. Magically, one night, Tsui Sam's ring was returned back and some of us thought that Tung Pun Sin is back, healthier than always.

Should I tell you what happened to Ko Yi Nga? She's still the same little brat, going out with older guys in Shanghai.

Yeah, six years later and Tsui Sam is still waiting for him. Lo Yat is married with two children, a boy (Lo Yi) and a girl (Lo Sam). Remember I told you in It's OVER!! that Tsui Sam has a daughter with Tung Pun Sin? Actually, the little girl is Tsui Peng's daughter, Tsui Foon. Tsui Foon goes to the orphanage to play with the kids there. Of course, Yuen Yau Hin brought her there. Then and there, he told Tsui Sam what happened six years ago. He bumped into Tung Pun Sin in the jewelry, they both parted ways and he saw him lying somewhere, with a knife protruding from his abdomen. Tung Pun Sin told him not to tell Tsui Sam what happened. Yuen Yau Hin went to get a trishaw and when he turned, Tung Pun Sin disappeared.

No one knew where he disappeared to. Tsui Sam brought her niece to the place where she first met Tung Pun Sin, the place where they promise to meet again. Then, they showed what happened after Yuen Yau Hin found Tung Pun Sin. He went to the harbour to go on a boat. Then in monologue, he said that many miracles happened to Tung Pun Sin. So, he hoped that when a miracle would happen, that it will happen on Tsui Sam. That's why her leg miraculously healed. He also said that Lee Ho spent a previous life with Milk Candy (Tong Tong) and that Tung Pun Sin spent the present life with Tsui Sam. So, he hoped that in the future life, he could love her again. And he just died there. So sad!!

Maybe Tsui Sam thinks that he will never appear again, also said the same thing, that she will see him in the future life. She walked away. And most of us thought that Tung Pun Sin will really appear. Nope, Tsui Sam just look back and the show ends.

So, what's your take on it? I read a lot of unsatisfied viewers about the boat scene and the ending. I'm just okay with it, almost cried when I saw the ending. I would really like to hear your opinions. Oh, Wish and Switch is showing tonight at 8.30 p.m. and L'escargot at 9.30 p.m. Looking forward to it!!
